Born and raised in Hamburg, I studied Fine Arts and Graphic Design in the USA: Fine Arts at Fontbonne College in St. Louis, Missouri; Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California.

After graduating in 1982, I worked for several prestigious design agencies in San Francisco for a further year before returning to Hamburg.

After 4 years in advertising (Team BBDO and Scholz & Friends, both in Hamburg), I became self-employed in 1986 and soon shifted my focus to the cultural sector. Since then, I have created numerous covers, posters, catalogues and books in the field of music and art, as well as designing logos, business documents and websites for companies, medical practices and law firms.

Awards:
4 x Award of Excellence (Academy of Art University)
9 x Certificate of Design Excellence (European Design Annual/Print & RotoVision)
1 x ADC (Brigitte)
Contribution to “The Best of Business Card Design“.

Illumination and Paintings also feature in my creative work.
Working with handmade papers as well as paint, brush, spatula and canvas provides the ideal balance to pixel-orientated design work.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family and friends!
